The Houston (TX) Alumni Chapter (HAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on Saturday, March 31, 1928.
The Charter members of Houston Alumni Chapter:

- W. Randy Bates, Esq. served as the 32nd Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
- C.B. Davis, member Grand Board of Directors (1973-76)
- W. Randy Bates, Esq., member Grand Board of Directors (2003-07)
- Ron V. Julun, member of the Grand Board of Directors (2017-19)
Houston Alumni Chapter Laurel Wreath & Elder Watson Diggs Awardees:
- Laurel Wreath: Astronaut Dr. Bernard A. Harris, Jr. (50th) and Chemist Dr. Bobby L. Wilson (58th)
- Elder Watson Diggs: Attorney’s Carl Walker, Jr (72nd) and Willie High Coleman, Jr. (90th)
Notable Facts:
- Houston Alumni Chapter hosted the 2nd Southwest Provincial Meeting held April 17-19, 1936. Oliver W. Crump, Marshall Alumni Chapter, Provincial Polemarch presided over the session.
- Houston Alumni Chapter was the first chapter in the Southwest Province to have a Chapter house beginning in 1964.
- Houston Alumni Chapter was the host chapter for the 57th Grand Chapter Meeting, held December 26-30, 1971 and the 81st Grand Chapter Meeting August 6-11, 2013.
- Houston Alumni Chapter hosted the 62nd Southwestern Province Meeting, March 12-15, 1998. This was the largest Province meeting in the history of the Fraternity with over 1000 registered members.
Other Notable Facts:
- Clayton Whitaker is the longest serving Polemarch of Houston Alumni Chapter – (2008-14).
- Willie Earlie Jr., the youngest person (age 27) to serve as Houston Alumni Chapter Polemarch.
- Richard Nichols is the oldest initiate in the history of the Chapter (pledged at the age of 77).
- Darryl Lockett is the youngest initiate (pledged at the age of 22).
